Bouldering technique III

Improve your bouldering skills with our advanced bouldering technique course, designed for experienced climbers who want to refine their technique and tackle more challenging problems. This course is for those advanced boulderers who want to progress towards mastering techniques.

The primary goal of the course is to provide you with advanced movement patterns for bouldering, allowing you to make further progress on your climbs, and build upon your foundations to help you improve even further.

Our internationally-certified and experienced instructors will guide you through the advanced techniques in a fun and supportive environment.

Course contents

  • Advanved Footwork: Master precise foot placements and the use of active feet, and link these optimally with good body positioning.
  • Body tensions: Understand how to link body tension, positioning and hips. Understand when to decouple.
  • Body Positioning: Learn how to obtain the optimal body position on the wall with such advanced techniques as flagging, toe and heel hooks, Egyptian, over-and-on, etc.
  • Dynamically versus statically: Take further steps towards climbing dynamically.
  • Tactical Training: Develop a sharper climbing intuition for selecting the best beta, reading movements, and improving your decision-making mid-climb.

All these will be taught with practical exercises and lots and lots of bouldering and fun.

Organization and Communication

We will send you a confirmation email after you registered (please check your spam folder). Several days before the offer begins, we will reach out to you and all other participants to coordinate travel plans and, if necessary, discuss options if the minimum number of participants has not been met. We will finalize details such as the meeting point, equipment, travel, and other organizational information.

Material needed

For this course you should wear normal sports clothing. We would advise you to also rent a pair of climbing shoes (you can rent them in the bouldering gym) which will make for a better bouldering experience. If you wear your own sport shoes, please only use indoor and clean ones.

Conducting the course with fewer than the minimum number of participants

For an additional fee (see “Offer costs”), the course will still take place even if there are fewer than the minimum number of participants. You can choose this option when registering if desired.
