Outdoor bouldering I

Take your bouldering skills to the next level with this weekend course designed for intermediate climbers in the legendary bouldering area Fontainebleau. Known for its diverse and challenging bouldering problems, Fontainebleau offers the perfect environment for climbers who already have some experience and are looking to refine their technique, improve their strength, and tackle more advanced problems.
Over the course of two days, our expert instructors will guide you through a variety of bouldering challenges, focusing on advanced techniques, movement efficiency, and mental strategies for conquering difficult problems. You’ll explore some of the forest’s iconic bouldering circuits, while receiving tailored coaching to help you break through plateaus and build confidence in your outdoor climbing abilities.
Prerequisites: A solid understanding of basic bouldering techniques and outdoor safety is recommended, and having previously taken our course Outdoor bouldering for beginners is suggested.
The weekend includes:
- Advanced bouldering techniques: Work on body control, dynamic movement, mantle techniques, and reading more complex problems
- Problem-solving strategies: Learn how to approach and break down difficult problems, including how to visualize solutions and find creative moves
- Safety and risk management: Refine your spotting skills and understand best practices for navigating more challenging problems
- Exploration of some of Fontainebleau’s most popular and scenic boulders, chosen to fit your level
This course is perfect for climbers who are comfortable with indoor bouldering or outdoor beginner routes and are now looking to step up their game in one of the most renowned bouldering areas in the world. By the end of the weekend, you’ll have the tools, techniques, and confidence to tackle tougher problems and progress in your outdoor bouldering journey.
Organization and Communication
We will send you a confirmation email after you registered (please check your spam folder). Several days before the offer begins, we will reach out to you and all other participants to coordinate travel plans and, if necessary, discuss options if the minimum number of participants has not been met. We will finalize details such as the meeting point, equipment, travel, and other organizational information.
Material needed
For this course you should have your own bouldering equipment. Bouldering mats can be provided free of charge by HiFive.
Conducting the course with fewer than the minimum number of participants
For an additional fee (see “Offer costs”), the course will still take place even if there are fewer than the minimum number of participants. You can choose this option when registering if desired.
