What others say about us
“I’ve trained remotely with them and their training has been crucial to my climbing process, providing the essential motivation and accountability to achieve my goals. Over the last few years, their meticulous focus on climbing-specific exercises, injury prevention, and in-depth knowledge of climbing techniques and body positioning has been indispensible in breaking through climbing plateaus. And that doesn’t even include the technical training received to stay safe in the mountains! Highly recommend these guys for anyone with climbing or mountaineering aspirations.”
Simon R.
“Very good support and guidance for both beginners and advanced climbers, in the hall and on the rock. You are in very good hands. Thank you.”
Cindy M.
“A great experience… that needs to be repeated! I have learned many tricks that I can apply directly to my usual climbing. I no longer stand in front of a boulder in fear and amazement. I can highly recommend HiFive: tailor-made courses in a very friendly atmosphere!”

We design your training around the equipment and resources you already have.
No matter your current level — we meet you where you are and help you move forward.
Why shouldn’t I just go with one of the many online programmes?
There is nothing inherently wrong with the many online programmes that are out there. However, developing a programm which is solely based on some one-size-fits-all statistics will likely not lead to the training results that you hope to see, and in the worst case even to a quick injury. Furthermore, in our experience it makes a huge difference when one works with a real coach as closely as possible, rather than listen to some AI giving packaged training suggestions.
Aren’t I too old/young to start training?
Throughout the years we have been coaching individuals from all ages, the youngest being six years old and the oldest being over seventy. The most important aspect is that you want to train, and that we work together to make your dreams come true.
I’m just a beginner, do I really benefit from a coach?
Whether you are just a beginner, or an experienced climber – everyone can benefit from an outside view. However, especially in the early stages of your climbing it makes absolutely sense to start with a coach. You will learn the fundamentals of climbing technique, tactic, what physical aspects to develop. It’s a bit like driving a car – while it is certainly possible to learn it yourself, it is much more efficient and effective to be taught by an expert.
What equipment do I need?
This depends on what personal coaching you would like to do. For bouldering you will essentially only need climbing shoes and loose fitting clothes, while for sport climbing you will also need the required sport climbing equipment. For climbing outdoors you will need much more. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us and we will advise you as to what you should get.
Is it a problem if I have an injury?
Yes and no. It really depends on the injury. We have experienced coaches, even with a physiotheraphy diploma, who know how to train with injuries. However, do let us know abotu your injuries before you starting to train with us, so that we can adapt the programms accordingly.
When should I expect to see results?
This really depends on your goals and how much effort you can put into achieving your objectives. In general, if you are a beginner, then it is possible to achieve quick gains in many different areas, especially with regards to technique, mental aspects or tactics. When it comes to strength, do not expect to achieve significant gains within a short period of time. Our objective is always to build healthy long-term gains and this sets us apart from the usual online-based training programs. We will work closely together with you, monitoring your progress and also adjust the plans in case we see that there is an overload.
What if I don’t really know what I need to train?
That’s precisely why we are there. We will help you to carve out your goals and adjust the training accordingly.
I’ve always had problems training consistently. Why should it be different with a coach?
Intrinsic motivation is not easy to find, and even harder to keep. We are highly qualified coaches who are there to guide you in your training and also provide you with some external motivators in case the sofa is calling your name too loudly. Nevertheless, our goal is to also teach you to find and keep that intrinsic motivation. We don’t want you to be forever depending on us – we want to teach you to find the required time, rythm and motivation for enough intrinsic motivation to last a lifetime.
