Sport climbing for intermediate in Frankenjura

You already have some outdoor experience? You know that it is much more fun to go to a new climbing area with a cool group or your favourite guides from Luxembourg? In this case Frankenjura is a great sport climbing area for you, about five hours drive from Luxembourg. It is the area where the famous all-stars of climbing gained their experience, from Wolfgang Güllich, the climber who first climbed a 9a, to Kurt Albert, the man who developed the idea behind redpoint climbing. Frankenjura is a region which has sport climbing written all over it, and if you enjoy beers, then it has the largest number of beer breweries per square kilometer in the world. Now, if that is not an argument to spend a couple of days there, then what is?

This trip takes place over four days and is individually adapted to each group. Since you already know how to lead climb outside, this trip is about perfection, getting to know the coolest routes, best bars and having fun with a great group. HiFive is there for you to give you the necessary advice for choosing the right routes for you, and helping you in climbing your projects.

We will focus on the nicest routes, adapted to your level, while at the same time teaching skills related to climbing technique and tactics, all while spending a wonderful longer weekend together.

We will meet directly at the crag on the morning of the first day and spend about 6 hours a day on the rock. On the fourth day we will climb together until the late afternoon.

Organization and Communication

We will send you a confirmation email after you registered (please check your spam folder). Two weeks before the offer begins, we will reach out to you and all other participants to coordinate travel plans and, if necessary, discuss options if the minimum number of participants has not been met. We will finalize details such as the meeting point, equipment, travel, and other organizational information.

Travel and accomodation

Travel and accomodation will be organized shortly before the trip when we know the final number of participants. For travel we are generally car pooling. The additional costs for car pooling will be calculated based on petrol expenses (and potentially a bottle of wine for the driver or the likes). Depending on the participants, it is also possible to rent a minibus. In this case the total costs for the minibus will be around 400 € and shared among the participants.

For accomodation we offer two options. The first option is shared accomodation in either an appartment or a house, potentially also a camping depending on the time of the year. This will imply shared bedrooms for participants. The second option is that participants can choose their own accomodation, if they want to stay e.g. in a hotel. In this case they would need to also travel by themselves.

Bad weather policy

As stated in our General Terms of Conditions, the organizer reserves the right to terminate the contract if, before the start of the course/excursion, the weather conditions cannot guarantee that the course/excursion can be carried out safely. The customer will then be refunded the price for services not received.
