Sport climbing in Schwarzwald

Schwarzwald is one of the truly idyllic regions in Germany, and around 4 hours drive from Luxembourg. A quiet region, enjoyable single pitch and even multi-pitch climbing, good food, what else do you want during a nice weekend?
The Black Forest (Schwarzwald) stretches for almost 200 kilometers from north to south. However you are crossing this region, there is only one thing to the left and right: forest. Not a trace of rocks. They are so hidden, high up and deep in the forest thicket, that only those who know where to look will find them. We’ll take you to the most impressive rocky areas in the Black Forest – to the places where the rock is solid and inviting for climbing. The famous areas of Gfäll, Battert, Kandelfelsen invite you to sport climb or even multi-pitch climb.
Our professional climbing coaches will show you the nicest routes, help you around, give you advice and suggestions and set up the climbs for you or help you on your lead climbs,
We will focus on the nicest routes, adapted to your level, while at the same time teaching skills related to climbing technique and tactics, all while spending a wonderful weekend together.

Organization and Communication
We will send you a confirmation email after you registered (please check your spam folder). Several days before the offer begins, we will reach out to you and all other participants to coordinate travel plans and, if necessary, discuss options if the minimum number of participants has not been met. We will finalize details such as the meeting point, equipment, travel, and other organizational information.
Travel and accommodation
Travel and accommodation will be organized shortly before the trip when we know the final number of participants. For travel we are generally car pooling. The additional costs for car pooling will be calculated based on petrol expenses (and potentially a bottle of wine for the driver or the likes). Depending on the participants, it is also possible to rent a minibus. In this case the total costs for the minibus will be around 400 € and shared among the participants.
For accommodation we offer two options. The first option is shared accommodation in either an apartment or a house, potentially also a camping depending on the time of the year. This will imply shared bedrooms for participants. The second option is that participants can choose their own accommodation, if they want to stay e.g. in a hotel. In this case they would need to also travel by themselves.
Bad weather policy
In case of bad weather we generally have two options:
1) Change the course location. As alternatives we would then offer Gerolstein, Pfalz or Freyr. All areas are maximum two hours drive away from Luxembourg.
2) As stated in our General Terms of Conditions, the organizer reserves the right to terminate the contract if, before the start of the course/excursion, the weather conditions cannot guarantee that the course/excursion can be carried out safely. The customer will then be refunded the price for services not received.
