Via ferrata for beginners

On our day trip to the Manderscheid via ferrata, known as the best non-alpine via ferrata, we cross the unique landscape of the Volcanic Eifel on three exciting stages and climb the imposing cliffs of Manderscheid castle.
This beginner-friendly course offers a comprehensive introduction to the exciting world of via ferrata, combining hiking with very basic rock climbing. Participants will learn the fundamentals of safely navigating a via ferrata. With expert guidance from experienced instructors, you will gain hands-on experience in using via ferrata gear, proper techniques, and key safety practices.
Throughout the course, you’ll develop confidence and the skills needed to tackle beginner-level to intermediate-level via ferratas. This includes mastering the use of the via ferrata equipment, as well as learning how to assess and manage risks while enjoying the stunning views and natural landscapes.
Whether you’re new to climbing or looking to expand your outdoor adventure skills, this course provides the perfect foundation for a fun and safe via ferrata experience. By the end of the course, you’ll have the knowledge to embark on more challenging via ferratas and the confidence to safely enjoy this unique activity in the future. No prior climbing experience required (but useful)!

Several days before the offer begins, we will reach out to you and all other participants to coordinate travel plans and, if necessary, discuss options if the minimum number of participants has not been met. We will finalize details such as the meeting point, equipment, travel, and other organizational information.

Conducting the course with fewer than the minimum number of participants
For an additional fee, the course can still take place even if there are fewer than the minimum number of participants. We can discuss this once we know how many participants there will be.
